Event Bartenders set-up, serve and breakdown bars at each event. Bartenders will travel to many locations throughout South Shore and Boston and must follow both The Chef’s Tables and Serve Safe Alcohol procedures. Schedules are flexible, generally allowing you to pick the shifts and locations that work for your schedule. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Most events require availability on nights and weekends. All scheduling is done online and will require the use of email. Must have a Tips or similar certification. Bartending experience required,

Event Servers set-up, serve and breakdown for events throughout the South Shore and Boston area.will work and travel to many event locations throughout New England. All events range in size and scope, event servers are required to help with set-up and breakdown at events. Schedules are flexible, generally allowing you to pick the shifts and locations that work for your schedule. Great attitude, friendly personality and clean appearance required. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Most events require availability on nights and weekends. All scheduling is done online and will require the use of email. Experience is not required.

General knowledge of catering and kitchen operations is preferred. Must have at least 2 years of cooking or prep kitchen experience. Event chefs must have the ability to meet at the event sites and can be located anywhere from Boston to Cape Cod. Event chefs are responsible for executing catering events in a professional and timely manner, must be able to function under limited supervision and in a fast paced environment. Event chefs should possess a friendly personality and clean appearance. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
The Chef’s Table Prep Cooks prepare all catering menus to prescribed specifications
Responsibilities
-
Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
-
Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they are organized and easily accessible
-
Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
-
Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
-
Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.
-
Maintain a clean/orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
-
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
-
Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
-
Perform other kitchen duties as assigned

Compensation
This is an hourly position. Benefits including Medical and Simple Ira available after 90 days of full time employment.
In-House & Event Steward - FT or PT
The Chef’s Table Catering and Events Stewards oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, equipment and vehicles and assist with set up and breakdown of events.

Responsibilities
-
Empty all company vehicles after events, wash and put all equipment back in orderly fashion.

Ensure that all vehicles are clean both inside and out and are ready for events (gas tank filled, etc)
-
Assist with the packing of events as requested by kitchen staff.
-
Ensure that interior and exterior areas of the building are maintained according to maintenance schedules.

Assist with kitchen projects as requested
-
Assist with the equipment set up or breakdown of events.
-
Maintain list of all broken equipment to be repaired or replaced and ensure that it is brought to the attention of the Equipment Manager on a weekly basis.

Responsibilities

Track and manage all in house equipment
-
Work with sales staff to help them use in house rental items when possible
-
Use our Catering Software to create rental lists and level of detail needed
-
Be proactive with additions, revisions or changes to the in house inventory lists and keep track of any items that are damaged or need to be repaired.

Daily management of stewards with their tasks and responsibilities
-
Assist chef with packing for their events
-
Management and organization of equipment and vehicles leaving the shop for multiple events.

We are looking to hire a PT (24-32 hours per week) Event Planning Assistant for the summer with potential for permanent hire if desired. Additional event hours for on-site experience are available.

Tasks may include, but are not limited to:

Answer phone in a polite and professional manner

Assist with initial event inquiries and initial information from clients

Manage event rental orders
-
Preparing event clipboards production schedules and notes for all staff and vendors prior to events using catering software

Client and Employee File Organization & Tracking

Source specialty products and vendors for events

Set up and breakdown of event tastings conducted in the office
-
Support event planners in the office with scheduling, ordering, diagrams and other admin projects

Assist clients with Parties To Go Orders and event changes

Social Media and Marketing
-
Social Media – set up schedule of Instagram and Facebook posts

Create signage for events and custom items
-
Assist in new designs and creative ideas
